FACIAL VEINS

Visible facial or leg veins can be a nuisance. The veins may vary in size from very thin spider veins to larger, deeper coloured reticular veins. On the face, these veins give the complexion a flushed and splotchy appearance. Veins can appear due to a variety of causes, including standing for extended periods of time, sun damage, harsh weather conditions, trauma to the skin, poor circulation, or genetics.

At Dermis Advanced Skin Care, we treat superficial veins on the face and veins on the legs which can improve the skin’s appearance and evenness of tone. Depending on the size of the veins, multiple treatments may be necessary.

What does vein therapy entail?
At Dermis Advanced Skin Care, we offer laser treatments for veins on both the face and body. Laser therapy is non-invasive and can treat the veins without damaging the surrounding skin. Lasers are attracted to the veins and heat up and destroy the vessel, allowing the blood to be reabsorbed into the skin. The damaged vessel then shrinks and eventually dissolves. Minimal redness following the treatment is typical.
Exercise, elevation, and compression stockings can all prevent veins from reforming on the body.

To determine whether you are a candidate for laser vein therapy, book a free consultation with a skin therapist and see what a positive difference we can make for you.
