Lip Fillers: Enhance Your Natural Beauty

Lip fillers are a quick, safe, and effective way to enhance your natural beauty. Whether you want
to restore volume, define your lip shape, or achieve a fuller pout, this non-surgical treatment
delivers instant, customizable results with minimal downtime. Feel more confident and
refreshed.

What are Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers are a cosmetic treatment that use injectable solutions to enhance lip volume and
definition. The most commonly used fillers are made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance
naturally found in the body that helps keep skin hydrated and plump. As we age, our natural HA
levels decline, making lip fillers an effective way to restore fullness and maintain smooth,
youthful lips.

At Dermis Advanced Skin Care, we offer a range of premium HA fillers, including BELOTERO®,
JUVÉDERM® and CLARION®. These treatments not only add volume but also help soften fine
lines and rejuvenate the overall appearance of your lips, creating a more refreshed and
balanced look.

Please Note: tenderness, swelling, and even mild bruising can occur on the treatment area following an injection. Swelling can be reduced using a small cold compress, and in some cases our medical team may prescribe acetaminophen, a mild painkiller.

What to Expect at your Appointment?

During your appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your goals and desired
outcomes. Elizabeth will carefully assess the current state of your lips and recommend a
personalized treatment plan tailored to your aesthetic preferences. This is also the ideal time to
ask any questions or share any concerns you may have about the procedure, aftercare, or cost.
She will also review any potential risks and determine if you’re a good candidate for treatment.

Once you’re both confident in the treatment plan, we can proceed with your lip filler treatment
the same day, if desired. If you prefer to book your appointment for another time, our Front
Desk Team will be happy to help you find a time that works best for you.

Things To Know Before Your Dermal Filler Injections

We want you to achieve amazing results and love your revitalized appearance. Here’s some
important information about injectable dermal fillers so you can reduce the risk of bruising and
discover how to be proactive for the best results.

Dermal Fillers cannot be performed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

To minimize bruising, please avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your injections. To
improve the longevity of your treatment, we recommend that you refrain from gym workouts
for 48 hours and avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga) for 2 weeks after your treatment.

For optimal results, we recommend that you follow these guidelines so you can reduce the risk
of bruising.

Are Lip Fillers Painful?

Lip fillers may cause some mild discomfort, but they’re generally well-tolerated. A topical
numbing cream is applied beforehand to minimize pain, and many fillers contain lidocaine for
additional comfort during the procedure. Any discomfort is usually brief and mild.

Can I combine Lip Fillers with other Treatments?

At Dermis Advanced Skin Care, we understand that achieving your desired look often involves a
combination of treatments. Many of our Lip Filler clients choose to combine their treatments
with other skin rejuvenation or injectable treatments for a complete, balanced look. Whether
you are interested in combining your Lip Fillers with other Dermal Filler or Botox or another
form of facial rejuvenation, we are committed to helping you achieve your aesthetic goals.

We encourage you to discuss your face, skin, and body goals with our team during your initial
consultation. They will be able to offer their best suggestions and solutions to help you achieve
your desired appearance.

Are there risks associated with Lip Filler?

There are some risks associated with lip fillers. These can include swelling, bruising or an allergic
reaction. In rare cases, complications such as filler migration or vascular occlusion (blocked
blood vessels) may occur. However, when performed by a trained professional, these risks are
minimal. We thoroughly assess each client to ensure they are a good candidate and discuss any
potential risks during the consultation.
