Dermal fillers replace what time takes — lost volume in cheeks, definition along the jawline, fullness in lips. At Dermis, Elizabeth Lavoie, NP, carries two premium filler lines and matches the right product to your anatomy, goals, and desired longevity.

Dermal fillers are injectable gels placed beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth deep lines, and enhance facial contours. Unlike neuromodulators (which relax muscles), fillers physically add structure — think of them as the foundation beneath your skin's surface.
At Dermis, we carry two distinct filler families: Juvederm (hyaluronic acid, reversible, multiple formulations) and Radiesse (calcium-based, collagen-stimulating, longer-lasting). The right choice depends on where you're treating, what you want to achieve, and how long you want results to last.
Elizabeth doesn't default to one brand. She assesses your facial anatomy, listens to your goals, and recommends the filler — or combination of fillers — that will give you the most natural, lasting result.

The world's most popular hyaluronic acid filler family. Multiple formulations for lips, cheeks, jawline, and fine lines.
Calcium-based filler that provides immediate volume and stimulates your own collagen production over time.
Both are excellent fillers. The right choice depends on your goals.
Elizabeth considers four key factors when recommending a filler. Here's how to think about each one.
Juvederm excels in soft-tissue areas — lips, fine lines, tear troughs. Radiesse is better for structural zones like cheeks, jawline, and hands.
Juvederm is fully reversible with hyaluronidase — a built-in safety net. Radiesse cannot be dissolved and must be waited out.
Juvederm lasts 6–18 months depending on the formulation. Radiesse typically lasts 12–18 months with added collagen stimulation.
Radiesse stimulates your own collagen production over time, providing benefits beyond the filler itself. Juvederm hydrates but doesn't stimulate collagen.
Fillers address volume loss, deep lines, and facial structure across multiple zones of the face and body.
Cheeks, temples, and under-eyes lose fullness with age. Filler replaces what time takes, restoring a youthful, rested contour.
Lip filler adds volume, defines the border, and restores symmetry. Soft HA formulations give natural movement and feel.
Nasolabial folds, marionette lines, perioral lines. Filler lifts from beneath the skin where topical products simply can't reach.
Strategic filler placement builds jawline definition and chin projection. Radiesse is often preferred for its structural properties.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty smooths bumps and refines the tip with reversible HA filler. Reversibility is essential for safety here.
Full-face sculpting combines multiple filler types across cheeks, jawline, chin, and temples for balanced proportions.
Radiesse restores hand volume where tendons and veins show through thinning skin. One of few non-face filler applications.
Tear trough filler with thin HA products addresses dark hollows beneath the eyes. Delicate area requiring advanced technique.
Filler can fill individual deep acne scars from beneath — a useful complement to laser and microneedling treatments.
Smile lines from nose to mouth — the most common filler request. Juvederm Vollure was specifically designed for this area.
Lines from mouth to chin that create a tired, sad expression. HA filler lifts the corners for a neutral, rested look.
Filler restores fullness to temples that hollow with age, addressing the gaunt appearance of the upper face.
Filler adds projection and definition to a receding chin. Improves profile balance as a non-surgical alternative to implants.
A straightforward, comfortable process designed to deliver natural-looking volume and contour.
Elizabeth assesses your facial structure, discusses your goals, and recommends the right filler type. She explains costs and expected results before anything begins.
Elizabeth maps injection sites, selects the appropriate filler formulation, and discusses comfort options. You'll know exactly what to expect.
Precise placement with a fine needle or cannula. Most filler sessions take 20–40 minutes. Topical numbing is available, and most Juvederm formulations contain built-in lidocaine.
You'll see improvement right away. Minor swelling settles over 1–2 weeks, revealing your final result. Bruising is possible but typically mild.
We check in at two weeks to confirm you're happy with your results. Touch-ups are available if needed. Your next appointment is typically 6–18 months out.

Went to Dermis for hyaluronic acid fillers to help with old acne scarring. The technician was professional and calming, the procedure was quick, and my skin looks much smoother several months later.
