Collagen Induction Therapy $350
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), or micro-needling, a Health Canada-approved procedure, is one of the most popular and successful treatments in combating aging skin, scarring issues, and improving overall skin texture. The surgical grade sterile microneedles go beyond the epidermis into the dermis, which typical at-home dermarollers do not. Micro-needling triggers the body’s healing process by causing pin-point bleeding and stimulating collagen-producing fibroblasts in the dermis. This results in new organized collagen and elastin forms in the dermal layer and thickening of the epidermis. The skin is numbed with a topical anaesthetic prior to beginning the treatment.Throughout the procedure, the skin is saturated with a hyaluronic acid serum to hydrate and promote healing. Clients can expect their skin to have a slight “sun burn” appearance, which can last up to 48 hours. A series of 6 treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart, is recommended for optimal results.
